What are hearings and screenings?

Hearings- The Union leaders and grievance reps meet once a month with members of management to discuss current grievances and possible resolutions. If no agreement is made, the grievance is then moved to the System Board of Adjustment.
Screenings- Held quarterly and is where the grievance sitting at System Board will be “screened out” or moved on to arbitration, based on the merits of the grievance.
